Dr. Ted Lee is a Clinical Professor and Director of Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery at Magee Womens Hospital of UPMC. He is also the immediate past president of AAGL and previously served on the board of trustees of Society of Gynecologic Surgery. Dr. Lee is a renowned surgeon and educator, a six-time Golden Laparoscope winner and frequently nominated as one of the "Best Doctors" in America since 2004. He has collaborated with various endometriosis advocacy group over the years. He worked with CDC and successfully revised the endometriosis diagnosis codes for the first time in over 40 years. He strongly advocates for the use of surgical videos as an educational tool and has served on numerous committees at AAGL, including as Chair of the Scientific Program Committee for the first virtual AAGL Global Congress in 2020. Dr. Lee has successfully mentored minimally invasive surgical fellows since 2001, and his fellowship has placed the highest number of fellows in major academic institutions among all AAGL MIGS fellowships. His fellows have gone on to obtain leadership positions in major institutions worldwide.
