Cat Bohannon, PhD

Dr. Bohannon completed her PhD in 2023 at Columbia University, where she studied the evolution of narrative and cognition. Her work has appeared in Science, The Atlantic, Scientific American, The Best American Nonrequired Reading, Lapham’s Quarterly, The Guardian, and Poets Against the War. Eve is her first book and a New York Times bestseller. The book was Foyles’ book of the year, an Audible book of the year, Blackwells book of the month, a Powell’s Pick, and was listed for the Royal Society Prize, the Orwell Prize, and the Women’s Prize. She's currently at work on her second book, Being Alive: the new science of women's health and why it could save us all.  She lives in the U.S. with her partner and two semi-feral offspring.
