Dr. Dan Martin is the Executive and Medical Director of the Endometriosis Foundation of America after three years as the Scientific and Medical Director. He was the Blossom Ball Honoree by the Endometriosis Foundation of America in 2013. Dr. Martin has served as Divisional Director of Medical Education at the Johns Hopkins Medical Institutes, received a Consumer’s Checkbook certificate for patients’ perception of care, and is Professor Emeritus of the University of Tennessee Health Science Center. He is also Past President of the AAGL (formerly the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists), Past Divisional Director of Reproductive Endocrinology and Minimally Invasive Surgery at UTHSC, a Life Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, and Past President of the Gynecologic Laser/Surgery Society. Dr. Martin’s academic contributions include sixty-six peer-reviewed publications on endometriosis in the National Library of Medicine's PubMed with 7,150 citations in Google Scholar. His career includes 27 years in solo private practice between seventeen initial and concluding years in full-time academia.
