Amyra León is a critically acclaimed author, musician, and educator whose work bridges poetry, performance, and social practice. She is a MacDowell Fellow and current artist-in-residence at the Vineyard Theatre. Her artistry is known for its emotional rigor, sonic depth, and unflinching devotion to truth. Across books, albums, workshops, and multidisciplinary performance, León centers memory, liberation, and the sacred intelligence of the body.

After waiting twenty years for an Endometriosis diagnosis, her creative and research practice has turned toward exposing the systemic neglect surrounding womb health. She is committed to transforming pain into language, archive, and collective care & will do everything within her power to ensure the road to diagnosis is shortened for those to come. Her work is thorough, poetic, and impactful, inviting audiences into deeper listening, embodied awareness, and curiosity.
