Prisca Edwards is a documentary filmmaker and photographer based in Brooklyn, New York. Her most recent film, Out From Under, is a short documentary exploring the individual and collective experiences of six people living with endometriosis. Her photography has been featured in WMN Zine: Taking Space, and her personal short film Body Scans, which reflects on her relationship with her period and pelvic pain, was recognized by Toronto Film Magazine and premiered in Salt Lake City.

Prisca is a media fellow with the Mellon Foundation’s Public Humanities and Social Justice Scholarship Program at Hunter College. She is also a longtime teaching artist at Reel Works, where she supports emerging youth filmmakers in developing their voices through media. Prisca holds an MFA in Integrated Media Arts from Hunter College and a BFA in Photojournalism from the Rochester Institute of Technology.
