Moriah Engelberg is a Licensed Master Social Worker. She works at A Better Balance, a national non-profit promoting justice in the workplace, especially for women, caregivers, and people with health needs of their own. Moriah is currently working on a statewide campaign to improve New York’s outdated paid medical leave program, which hasn’t been updated since 1989. Prior to joining A Better Balance, she worked as a Care Manager at Housing Works for five years, connecting some of New York City's most vulnerable populations to life-changing healthcare, housing, and job training services. As a former intern of The Endometriosis Foundation of America, Moriah is thrilled speak at Patient Day and share her insights on the ongoing fight to improve paid medical leave for New Yorkers.
