Meredithe Rechan

Endo Patient

Meredithe grew up in Australia and moved to the US in the early 1990s to pursue her career.  She later married and lived internationally in London and Singapore before returning to the US with her husband and young family. She has five children, including a set of fraternal twins, a single and a second set of twins, who are identical.

Meredithe was diagnosed with endometriosis at the age of 18, and underwent two laproscopy surgeries in Sydney and then a further two surgeries in Chicago to treat the condition.  This treatment spanned the ages 18-28 years old.  Meredithe gave birth to her first set of twins at the age of 33, after which she had no further treatment for endometriosis, however minor symptoms remained unresolved.  All three of her pregnancies were challenged with significant preterm complications.
