Dr. Kocas is trained in health psychology, rehabilitation psychology, and neuropsychology. Her research centers on the lived experience of chronic and acute health conditions, with a particular focus on reproductive health conditions such as endometriosis and infertility, as well as neurological disorders. She is especially interested in how stigma influences mental health, health behaviors, and healthcare engagement, alongside the development of rigorous measures to assess these constructs.
Dr. Kocas earned her PhD in Clinical Psychology from The New School for Social Research in 2024. She completed her clinical internship and postdoctoral fellowship at NYU Langone Health, where she specialized in neuropsychological assessment, psychotherapy, and cognitive rehabilitation for individuals living with acute and chronic health conditions. Her early training was in pharmacy; she holds a Master of Pharmacy from the University of East Anglia and a Master of Science in Health, Community, and Development from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
