George Mason University's Department of Global and Community Health

Courtney is a graduate research assistant at George Mason University's Department of Global and Community Health within the College of Health and Human Services. Under the mentorship of Dr. Jhumka Gupta, she contributes to research on the public health impacts of gender-based violence against women and girls, social determinants of health, and endometriosis. She has worked in both the non-profit and research sectors (both internationally and within the U.S.) and is thrilled to combine these experiences into research projects aimed to facilitate social change. She has a passion for exploring the intersection of social justice and public health, combating period stigma, and raising awareness of "hidden" women's health issues such as Endometriosis.
