About the Endometriosis Foundation of America (EndoFound)

The Endometriosis Foundation of America (EndoFound) is a leading 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to increasing disease recognition, providing education, funding research, and advocating for policy change. Co-founded by Padma Lakshmi and world-renowned endometriosis surgeon Dr. Tamer Seckin, EndoFound supports patients and works to improve care for the 1 in 10 individuals affected by this chronic, painful disease.

Position Overview

EndoFound is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Part-Time/Contract Grant Writer to support the organization’s growing development team. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying funding opportunities, drafting compelling grant proposals and reports, and maintaining a calendar of deadlines.

Familiarity with the grant database software Instrumentl is essential for success in this role. This is a remote, project-based position ideal for someone who is self-directed, deadline-driven, and passionate about women’s health and health equity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Research and identify grant opportunities aligned with EndoFound’s mission and strategic priorities using Instrumentl and other tools.

  • Draft, edit, and submit letters of inquiry, grant proposals, and supporting documentation for foundations, corporations, and government funders.

  • Collaborate with internal staff to gather relevant data and program details for proposals and reporting.

  • Maintain a grant calendar and ensure timely submissions, renewals, and reports.

  • Track and monitor proposal outcomes, requirements, and deliverables.

  • Assist in the development of boilerplate language, budgets, and templates to streamline the proposal process.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of grant writing experience, preferably with nonprofit organizations in the health or advocacy space.

  • Proven track record of successful grant proposals (please include examples or metrics, if available).

  • Proficiency using Instrumentl to research and manage grant prospects.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines independently.

  • Familiarity with women’s health, endometriosis, or healthcare advocacy is a plus.

To Apply

Please send your resume, a brief cover letter, and 1–2 writing samples (preferably grant proposals or LOIs) to recruitment@endofound.org
