Michael Dahan

Michael Dahan, MD

Michael Dahan is on faculty in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at McGill University. He graduated from medical school at the State University of New York, at Stonybrook in 1996, following this with a residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Long Island College Hospital of SUNY down State from 1996 to 2000. He completed a fellowship in reproductive endocrinology and infertility at the University of California at San Diego in 2003 with Jeffrey Chang and Samuel Yen. After completing his fellowship, Dr. Dahan was on faculty at Washington University in St. Louis Missouri, and Stanford University in California.

His first described pituitary injury due to vasospasm, known as Dahan’s syndrome. He has been an invited speaker internationally giving over 130 presentations. He is the Editor and chief of Clinical and Experimental Obstetrics and Gynecology and has been on the editorial boards of 6 other peer-reviewed journals.

Dr. Dahan has authored over 160 peer-reviewed publications and 160 abstracts. He has had over 150 newspaper articles describing his research findings, internationally. Has had over 1.3 million dollars in research grants. He is a past Chair of the Associate Committee of the Society for Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (SREI) and has been selected as one of the best obstetricians and gynecologists in America by the Consumers’ Research Council three times. He was selected to be in who is who in Medicine. He was the 2008 recipient of the R. Howard Webster Award for Research.
