Latia Lee

Registered Nurse, EndoFound Patient Advisory Committee

Latia Lee is a Registered Nurse who has a strong passion for patient advocacy. She was diagnosed with Stage 4 Endometriosis in 2017 after suffering with debilitating pain for 23 years.  It was through research and self-advocacy that Ms. Lee self-diagnosed herself and finally received the gold standard treatment which is excision surgery. Latia strives to bring awareness to this very debilitating disease an empower women to seek the proper medical treatment they desperately need and deserve. “Early detection and treatment is so essential with endometriosis. No woman should have to wait 23 years for diagnosis and treatment of Endometriosis. This is unacceptable.”

Multiple articles and videos sharing Latia’s Endometriosis journey has been published on the EndoFound website as well as Seckin Endometriosis Center.  Women need to know that they are not alone and that their feelings are very real and valid.

Lastly, as a patient who has had 3 excision surgeries covered by their insurance company, she offers guidance and advice in case management to help other women achieve this very monumental goal.
