Dr. Assia Stepanian is the Founder and Medical Director of the Academia of Women’s Health and Endoscopic Surgery, Atlanta, GA, Honorary Professor of V.I Kulakov National Center for Perinatology, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Moscow, Russia, and Founder and Founding Editor of SurgeryU. She has served as a member of the Board of Directors of the AAGL and a member of AAGL’s multiple committees including Fellowship and Bylaws committees and JMIG, SurgeryU, and Advisory Board of the AAGL. She has conducted research and has mentored fellows and candidates for doctorate degrees in medical sciences. She has conducted and participated in design and implementation of molecular and clinical research and publications related to myoma, endometriosis, adenomyosis, intrauterine synechiae, pelvic pain, mullerian anomalies, decreased ovarian reserve, treatment of uterine post c-section defects, and other gynecologic pathology. Her lectures also focus on Human Intelligence in the Era of AI. She is a co-author of Morpho-Functional Classification of Mullerian Anomalies. She continuously serves as an adviser to various medical organizations.
