Endometriosis Foundation of America: An Online Patient Community
Our Annual Patient Conference & Endometriosis Medical Symposium is Back

Our annual Patient Conference and Endometriosis Medical Symposium is back this March for Endometriosis Awareness Month! Now running in its 13th year, the Endometriosis Medical Symposium brings together the leading endometriosis experts to discuss cutting-edge endometriosis research, treatments, and advances around the world, while our Patient Conference is designed to equip patients with all the tools and information they need to live their best lives with endometriosis. This year, our virtual programming will run during the entire month of March: four sessions, every Sunday of March. Plus, our state-of-the-art conference portal will allow for video coffee breaks around a digital table to network with fellow endometriosis warriors. Introducing EndoFound’s New Director of Development: Jake Carlin

We’re thrilled to introduce our new Director of Development, Jake Carlin, who previously worked for the Ovarian Cancer Research Alliance (OCRA), the ALS Association Greater New York Chapter, and CancerCare. Jake is excited to manage all aspects of fundraising for EndoFound, including getting to know our donors, empowering more endo warriors, and working towards making “endometriosis” a household name. “It’s like we are conditioned to push the conversation about menstrual cycles and periods to the back of our brains,” Jake says, and he’s determined to change that. Welcome, Jake!

Excision Surgery Changed My Life

Morganne Skinner, who is a registered nurse trained in assessment, was charting each of her symptoms for over a decade—and it still took her 15 years to be diagnosed with endometriosis. “I should never have been told that endometriosis doesn’t cause bloating,” she writes, “when bloating is one of the most common symptoms.” After years of no answers and debilitating pain, she tells her story today because excision surgery changed her life, and “no 11-year-old girl should ever have to experience what I did.”

Morganne's Story
