Endometriosis cast a shadow on my daily life, both physically and emotionally. My pain was so severe there were many days it affected my life as a professional actor. I would curl into a ball from the pain, and when the crew yelled, “Rolling!,” I would stand up and do the scene. The mental toll of being told it was all in my head was equally crippling. I’m so grateful for my amazing mom, who pushed back at the doctors who told me I just “needed to deal with the pain” and helped me find the answers I deserved.
Finding the Endometriosis Foundation of America also was a game-changer for us. The community support and understanding made us feel less isolated. We realized from the shared stories that too many women face the same obstacles in obtaining proper diagnosis and treatment.
EndoFound was a beacon of hope and knowledge in our journey. The information and education they provided helped us feel better equipped to make the best decisions for me. Because of EndoFound, we now understand that knowledge is power – it is empowering to know what you are feeling is not “in your head.”
That’s why your support today matters. Your donation to EndoFound’s year-end ENPOWR™ campaign helps educate not just young women but everyone, breaking down stigmas, fostering empathy, and empowering millions of women to seek help without judgment.
My mom and I share the greatest hope for a future in which doctors are better trained and no woman is told her symptoms are "normal." Your support of EndoFound can contribute to creating that future by educating medical professionals, funding research, and supporting programs to educate the public. This effort will lead to earlier diagnosis, prevent unnecessary pain, and support mental well-being.
Your support is not just a donation – it's a lifeline for individuals like me, for whom early diagnosis has made all the difference. Please join us in making a meaningful impact by donating to EndoFound before midnight on December 31.
