On Tuesday, May 17th EndoFound hosted EndoFound's Virtual UpEndo Congressional Briefing and Hill Day with our co-founder Padma Lakshmi and other special guests. This day of action, thoroughly recapped by EndoTV host Diana Falzone here, was critical in laying the groundwork needed to further increase endometriosis funding in the United States. Our goal is to ensure that one day soon, endometriosis patients across the country will not only be able to access early diagnosis and proper treatment, but also have a cure to this debilitating disease. The End Endo 5K is back this September! Find your own course to walk, run, hike, bike, or even rollerskate to shine the spotlight on this disease and raise funds to change the course of endometriosis. Last June’s End Endo 5K superstars raised a whopping $32,636—let’s make an even bigger impact this summer! Want to learn more? Assemblywoman Shanique Speight, a representative of New Jersey’s 29th Legislative District, has dedicated her service to advocating for the needs of vulnerable populations and assisting underserved individuals in the Greater Newark community. In particular, Speight has prioritized the issue of period poverty and promoting menstrual health through legislative provisions and community action. New Jersey-based and passionate about combatting period poverty? All are welcome as volunteers to her period packing party on May 21st at noon in the Robert Treat Hotel.
